Run From The Tax Man takes place in Delafield, Wisconsin, in early April, on the trails of Lapham Peak, and invites runners to shake off tax-season stress. The course is hilly and technical, with rocky and sandy stretches and dirt paths, so it works for experienced runners and beginners alike. Options include a half marathon (13.1 miles) and a 10K (6.2 miles) at 9:00 AM, a 5K run and a 5K walk (3.1 miles) at 9:05 AM, and a kids' 1K (0.6 miles) at 8:45 AM. The event also offers rucking, a low-impact workout that involves hiking with a weighted backpack. Early April trails can be muddy, so choose shoes with grip.
