Onion River Outdoors Birdland 5K

The Onion River Outdoors Birdland 5K is a trail race through Vermont woods on the North Branch trails in Montpelier, on May 29, 2027. The hilly 3.1-mile course winds through lush vegetation, mostly on singletrack with technical sections of roots and rocks, and about 500 feet (150 m) of elevation gain.

Along the way, participants may spot a variety of bird species, such as veeries and ovenbirds. Aid stations offer water only and the event is cupless, so participants need to bring their own bottle or cup. The course is marked, but the trails remain open to other users. The race is part of the Central Vermont Runners and Onion River Outdoors race series.
