The New Bern Autism 5k Run/Walk is an annual 5K (3.1-mile) run/walk for autism awareness in New Bern, North Carolina, starting at 8:30 a.m. on April 24, 2027. It is organized by There's A Way StyronDavis Resource Network Inc. in partnership with Autismazing.
The event aims to raise awareness of autism and foster acceptance and understanding within the running community. Founded by Emilio and Lindell Davis, driven by their experience as parents of an autistic adult who was initially misdiagnosed, the organization uses the race to educate families about autism and to promote supportive, caring environments for people on the autism spectrum.
