About

MOVE: A Carbon Negative & Fat Ass Style Random Run is a community trail run in Huntersville on January 30, 2027, starting at 9 a.m., centered on social and environmental responsibility through group running. It does away with traditional elements such as entry fees, performance pressure and single-use plastics.

Participants take part in a “random distance” format: the routes are fixed, but the number of laps is decided by a roll of the dice just before the start. In addition, every runner must pick up at least two bags of litter in their local area before taking part, as a sign of their commitment to the event. Proceeds go to Sustain Charlotte, which supports local sustainability efforts.
