About

The HEROES 5K Run - Huntersville, NC is a timed 5K (3.1 miles) in Huntersville, North Carolina, starting at 9:00 a.m. on May 15, 2027. It gives runners the chance to test their speed and compete for awards, with official bibs and timing chips provided, and is designed for those with a competitive streak who want to measure themselves against other runners.

An untimed 5K run/walk is also available for non-competitive runners and family walkers: no bib, no timing, just support for the cause. All proceeds go to the W.G. (Bill) Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, North Carolina, to support its PTSD treatment and recreation programs. Those who cannot attend on race day can still take part by registering as a ghost runner.
