About

The Montvale 5 & 8.4 Milers are trail races in Montvale, at Montvale Park behind Montvale Elementary School in Bedford County, on February 27, 2027. Runners choose between the 8.4-miler (13.5 km), run as a single lap, and the 5-miler (8 km), both starting at 9 a.m. from the pavilion in the park.

The park has a 6.5-mile network of trails through old-growth forest, a scenic setting for the race. It can be reached from Route 460 via Marketplace or from Quarterwood Road, but parking is limited: participants are encouraged to carpool and use the gravel lots near the park entrance.
