Trail Nut 10k & Half Marathon Trail Races

The Trail Nut 10K & Half Marathon Trail Races take place in Bedford, Virginia, in mid-March, with the half marathon (13.1 miles) and the 10K (6.2 miles) starting at 9:00 a.m. They are held in a multi-use family park known for scenic trails and abundant wildlife.

The park has more than 8.7 miles of intermediate-level single-track through wooded terrain. Runners often see turtles, raccoons, rabbits, groundhogs, skunks and deer. Other park features include playgrounds, a paved path with exercise stations, a disc golf course, a bike park, downhill runs and a pump track. Single-track in Virginia can be slick after winter rain, so shoes with grip and caution on roots are sensible.
