About
The Mont Fuji International Marathon takes place in Fujikawaguchiko, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, on 13 December 2026, on a route that circles Lake Kawaguchi with views of Mount Fuji, a 3,776-metre volcano that has been dormant since 1707. The undulating course alternates wooded stretches with urban sections. There are three main formats: 10 km, 17 km (Around Kawaguchiko) and the marathon.
Two more accessible, less competitive formats have also been added: a 4 km walk (Fuji View Walk) and 4 km and 8 km runs (Fuji View Run). Famous worldwide for inspiring countless works of art, notably Hokusai's woodblock prints, the area attracts thousands of runners from all walks of life every year.
