About

The McDougal Lake Trail Fest is a multi-day outdoor event in Hodgenville, Kentucky, starting July 10, 2027, open to runners and cyclists alike. Runners can take on the 4 Mile Trail Run (6.4 km) at 7:45 a.m., while mountain bikers choose from the Four for 7/4 (32 miles / 51.5 km), Race Laps (16 miles / 25.7 km) and Party Lap (8 miles / 12.9 km).

The courses run through Big Woods, along McDougal Lake and through the Slab Ford Run area, with distances suited to all ages and abilities. Trail races and mountain bike events are joined by a course designed especially for kids and juniors, so the whole family can take part. All donations and event proceeds go to the Knob Creek Conservatory to fund the upkeep and improvement of the trail network used during the festival.
