Gavin's Gallop 5K in Elizabethtown supports families affected by Batten disease, a rare childhood illness. The 5K (3.1 miles) takes place on June 12, 2027, starting at 8:30 a.m. All proceeds go to Gavin's Gifts, a nonprofit that provides financial assistance, home modifications and care support.

The race is held at Freeman Lake Park on a scenic out-and-back lakeside trail, with a water stop at the turnaround. Registration fees apply for adults and children, and every participant receives a finisher medal. The event aims to bring the community together to support families facing the challenges of Batten disease.
