About

Near Liberec in the Czech Republic, the Leki Ještěd Winter SkyRace is a winter skyrunning event held on 5 December 2026 that has become a benchmark for mountain trail running in the country. It attracts experienced runners ready to take on extreme conditions: icy wind, patches of ice, deep snow and technical, rocky trails.

Most of the course runs along the ridge and summit of Mount Ještěd, which rises to 1,012 metres. The programme includes the 22 km SkyRace with 1,180 metres of elevation gain, the 12 km Trail with 520 metres and the 6 km Easy with 220 metres, each also offered as a canicross race.

The route alternates tricky descents on slippery ground with steep climbs towards the ski jumps, and ends with a memorable finale: a climb over icy rocks up to the foot of the television tower that crowns the summit.
