Lake Country Challenge

Lake Country Challenge takes place on August 28, 2027, in Oconomowoc, Waukesha County, Wisconsin, through the lakes and ponds that give the area its name. Two distances are offered: the half marathon (13.1 mi) and an eight-miler (12.9 km). Start times are not listed in our records.

The eight-mile distance is unusual and worth choosing deliberately: it is long enough to require pacing but short enough to run close to 10K effort, and it fits neatly into an autumn half-marathon build as a tune-up race. Whichever you pick, Wisconsin lake country rolls constantly — plan for a time a few minutes off your flat-course best.
