Kean University Founders 5K

Kean University Founders 5K is run on April 11, 2027 in Union, New Jersey, on the Kean University campus. Two distances are offered: a short 1.6 km course (about 1 mile) and a 5K (3.1 miles). Entry fees support an autism awareness cause, which gives the morning a charitable purpose alongside the racing.

Campus races are usually well marshaled and easy to reach, and having a one-mile option next to the 5K opens the event to children and to anyone who would rather walk than run. For the 5K, three or four weeks of running three times a week is enough to cover the distance without struggling. If you are already fit, treat the mile as a speed test and the 5K as the main event — running both is more than most people want to take on in one morning.
