Journey Home Road Race

Journey Home Road Race is held in Devens, Massachusetts, on November 8, 2026, around Veterans Day. Two distances go off together at 10 a.m.: a 10K run and a 5K run or walk. The race gives participants a way to run or walk in tribute to veterans and first responders, and it closes with a post-race celebration where you can hang around and talk with the other finishers.

Because both events start at the same time, the choice comes down to what you want out of the morning. The 5K stays comfortable if you keep it conversational; the 10K asks for a little more structure, ideally a few weeks of a longer weekend run and one steady 20-minute effort at controlled pace each week. Either way, a mid-morning start leaves time for a proper breakfast.
