About

The Homer Races: The Homer Classic 5k and The Homer Parade Mile! take place in Silverton during the Homer Davenport Community Festival. The Homer Parade Mile is held on August 7, 2027, at 9:45 a.m.: runners “lead” the festival parade along a route through downtown, cheered on by spectators. It starts on North Water Street near Silverton's middle school and finishes past Roth's Fresh Market on North First Street.

Participants can also sign up for the Homer Classic on August 8, 2027, at 9 a.m., which features an 8K (5 miles) run and a 2-mile run/walk, with courses starting and finishing at Silverton High School. Proceeds support local school track and cross-country programs, youth scholarships and fitness activities.
