About

The HCA Marathon d'Odense (HCA Marathon, Odense) is held every year in late September in Odense, Denmark, the birthplace of writer Hans Christian Andersen, and takes place on 26 September 2027. Alongside the marathon, the programme includes a half marathon, the Run the last 10K and a 4.2 km Mini-Marathon for younger runners. The event has been running for a quarter of a century.

The course is fully closed to traffic and runs through central Odense, past colourful houses, parks and the harbour district. After the finish, several sights are within walking distance: the Andersen museum, St Canute's Cathedral and the Munke Mose gardens. Local food includes smørrebrød, cinnamon rolls and smoked fish.
