About

The Expedition 12K Trail Race is a 12K (7.5-mile) trail race from Whitehall, held at Lewis & Clark Caverns State Park in the Cardwell area of Jefferson County, starting at 9 a.m. on April 25, 2027. It offers an outdoor endurance challenge.

Runners will mostly follow singletrack with significant elevation changes and tight turns. Registration includes chip timing, park entry, a custom race T-shirt and post-race refreshments. There will be two cupless aid stations, so runners are encouraged to bring their own hydration. Awards go to the top male, female and non-binary finishers.
