EVL Halloween Half Marathon & 5k is held in Ellicottville, New York, on October 24, 2026, and includes a half marathon, a half marathon relay and a 5K. The half marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 11 a.m. and the 5K follows at 11:15 a.m. Costumes are encouraged, the setting is the Southern Tier countryside, and every finisher receives a medal, a race shirt and a post-race snack bag. Runners of all levels are welcome.

An 11 a.m. start is unusual and genuinely useful: you can sleep in, eat a normal breakfast and still be warmed up, though it also means racing in the warmest part of an autumn morning, so carry a plan for fluids.
