Endurancelife North Cornwall

Endurancelife North Cornwall takes place on 9 January 2027 at Trebetherick, in the UK. Four trail routes start from Polzeath beach and head north-east along the coast: an ultra of 50.5 km, a marathon of 42.6 km, a half marathon of 21.9 km and a short 10.1 km course. The route crosses the Pentire peninsula, passes through fishing villages and valleys, then returns to Polzeath facing the Atlantic, with substantial total climbing on the longer distances.

The north Cornish coast strings together short but relentless climbs and descents, a profile that wears out the legs more surely than a single long ascent. On the ultra and the marathon, power-hiking the climbs is a strategy worth embracing from the very first kilometres. The 10.1 km is a good introduction to coastal trail running, with grippy shoes and wind protection advisable.
