About

The Donate Life NC Hero Run takes place in Durham on September 12, 2027, to raise awareness of organ, tissue and cornea donation. The 5k Run/Walk/Roll (3.1 miles) starts at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk/Roll at 8:40 a.m.

The out-and-back course finishes at Herndon Park with refreshments and an awards ceremony. Participants can choose from several options, including a race, a fun run and a virtual support option, and awards go to the top runners in different age groups. The event celebrates life and promotes awareness of the importance of donation in North Carolina.
