The Running of the Bulls 8K - NC is Durham's premier community road race, covering 8K (5 miles) on May 29, 2027, with the start at 7:15 a.m. The scenic course takes in downtown and the city's historic neighborhoods.

The route passes landmarks such as the American Tobacco Campus, Trinity Park and the Old North Durham neighborhoods before a memorable finish inside the Old Durham Athletic Park. The race is backed by committed sponsors. Strollers are allowed, but for safety reasons headphones and dogs are not permitted.
