About

Crowell Hilaka Trail Run is held in Richfield, Ohio, on September 13, 2026. The event offers three trail formats on the same day: a 50K (31 miles), a half marathon (13.1 miles) and a 10K. The website belongs to Fast Girls Running Company, which appears to be the organizer. Crowell Hilaka is the name of a park in Richfield, so expect a course on park trails.

This range of distances makes the event work for very different goals. Runners considering a first ultra can use the 50K, which stays close enough to marathon distance to be approachable if you have run one before. The half marathon is a solid target for a first trail race, and the 10K lets newer runners or a running partner join in. For the 50K, a 16-week build with long runs progressing to about 4 hours on trails, plus regular hiking on hills, will set you up for a steady day rather than a survival one.
