Fools Trail Run

The Fools Trail Run takes place at Camp Manatoc in Peninsula, Ohio, in late May, and is open to trail runners who like endurance events. Participants run loops on a trail course with mixed terrain, solo or in relays, and the format lets you choose a window of two, four or eight hours. A marathon, a half marathon and a 10K are also on the program, with an 8:00 a.m. start.

It is a chance to practice different strategies for fueling, hydration and pacing in a supportive setting, with a fully equipped aid station and personal rest areas. Relay teams share the work while trying to complete as many laps as possible within eight hours. The event suits experienced athletes as well as those who just want a pleasant day on the trails.
