About

Corn Cob Classic is held in Washington, Missouri, on October 25, 2026, with three road distances on the morning schedule. The half marathon (13.1 miles) starts first at 7:30 a.m., and the 10K run and the 5K run follow together at 8 a.m. The half-hour gap gives the longer race a clear road ahead and lets everyone converge on the finish area at roughly the same time.

Late October in eastern Missouri is prime racing weather, which is why this weekend is popular with runners closing out a fall training block. If the half is your goal race, build for about 12 weeks around one long run per week and use the last three weeks to taper rather than to cram in missed mileage. Runners who are still building can take the 10K as a hard tune-up and come back for the full 13.1 next season.
