The Trail Trot on Turkey Ridge is a timed race in Wildwood, Missouri, held in the days just after Thanksgiving. Runners tackle a demanding loop course with serious elevation gain, moving counterclockwise from and back to the trailhead, and can choose between a 2-hour and a 4-hour format.
Awards go to the top male and female finishers in each category, and the field is capped at just 75 runners for a low-key feel. A portion of proceeds benefits a local nonprofit, and members of the St. Louis Track Club get a discount on entry fees.
