About

Conquer the Canyon takes place in Redmond, Oregon, in early June, and includes a 5K Doggie Dash among its options. The half marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 9:00 a.m., the 10K at 9:15 a.m., the 5K at 9:30 a.m. and the Doggie Dash at 9:33 a.m. The routes use Redmond's Dry Canyon Trail, which shows off striking rock formations and scenic views.

Most of the route runs through a natural area, with views of downtown and its historic landmarks. Each race is professionally chip timed, with event staff and medical personnel on hand. Participants receive custom finisher medals and can join a post-race gathering with food and music at Centennial Park. Central Oregon is dry and sunny, so bring sun protection and water.
