The Casey Cares Foundation's 5K Run/Walk is held each year at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore to support families of critically ill children, with a 5K (3.1 miles) run and a one-mile (1.6 km) walk both starting at 8 a.m. on July 31, 2027.

Participants receive a tech shirt (except children under 8), a bib and a medal. Awards go to the largest, most spirited and top fundraising teams, and zoo admission tickets can be purchased after the race. The Casey Cares Foundation is a nonprofit that runs programs for families in eight states and Washington, D.C.
