The Carolina Beach State Park Trail Half Marathon & 5K takes place in Carolina Beach, North Carolina, in early January. The half marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 8:00 a.m. and the 5K (3.1 miles) follows at 8:30 a.m. Both are trail races that follow a coastal path lined with pines, with options for different ability levels.
