About

The Capital City Race takes place in Jefferson City, Missouri, in early May. It focuses on mental health awareness and honors the memory of Jared Palmer. Courses start at the State Capitol and loop around the capital, with a half marathon (13.1 miles) at 7:00 a.m., a 10K at 7:05 and a 5K at 7:10.

Registration includes a shirt, a medal, a bib and a gift bag, and kit pickup before race day is possible. Participants can walk, jog or run, and the event encourages community involvement and support for mental health causes. In Missouri, May mornings can be mild and humid, so an early start works in the runner's favor.
