About

The Bude Pirate Run is an 8-mile (12.9 km) coastal trail race based in Stratton, near Bude, taking place on 19 September 2027. Part of the Cornwall Multi Terrain Series, it is a tough but scenic challenge aimed at experienced runners, with hills, technical ground and stunning sea views.

Starting and finishing at Crooklets Beach, the course combines coast path, fields, woodland and short stretches of road. Pirate fancy dress is encouraged, and proceeds go to Bude Surf Life Saving Club. Headphones and dogs are not allowed, keeping the focus on safety, scenery and running, and the day ends with a strong community atmosphere and a prize-giving.
