About

The Bill Snyder Highway Half and 5K takes place in Manhattan, Kansas, in late May, with both races starting at 7:00 a.m. The half marathon (13.1 miles) begins on Coach Bill Snyder Highway (Highway 177), heads down toward town with a wide view, then winds through downtown, Aggieville and the Kansas State University campus before finishing at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. The 5K also starts and ends at the stadium, so every runner finishes on the field.

The event offers pro pace leaders, frequent aid stations, runner tracking and organized shuttles. Proceeds go to local charities chosen by Coach Snyder. A downhill start can tempt runners to go out too fast, so hold back early and save your legs for the city streets.
