The View 25K

The View 25K is a trail race held in Chapman Township, Pennsylvania, on November 7, 2026, organized by the PA Trail Dogs. The event offers two distances, a 25K (15.5 miles) and a 15K (9.3 miles), on the wooded trails of north-central Pennsylvania in mid-fall.

Both formats are accessible to runners who are comfortable with a road 10K or half marathon and want a taste of true Pennsylvania trail, which usually means rocks, roots and leaf cover in November. The 15K is a manageable first trail race, and the 25K is a good intermediate goal before a 50K. A 12-week plan with one weekly trail run, some hill repeats and a long run that builds to two hours will get you ready. Pay attention to your shoes: grip and rock protection matter more than weight on this kind of ground.
