Wyoming Marathon Race

The Wyoming Marathon Race is listed in Cheyenne, Wyoming, in late May, at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. Four road distances are offered: a 5K (3.1 miles), a half marathon (13.1 miles), a marathon (26.2 miles) and a 50K (31.1 miles). Start times were not available in the listing.

Cheyenne is on the high plains at an elevation of roughly 6,000 feet, so runners arriving from near sea level should expect to feel the altitude and wind, particularly over the longer distances. Check the organizer's course details before race day, since a similar event with the same name is also listed in Laramie, where much of the route is on dirt and gravel.
