About

Wy'east Trailfest is a two-day trail running festival on the slopes of Mount Hood, presented by Speedland, on August 15–16, 2027, with distances from an 8K and a half marathon (13.1 miles / 21.1 km) up to a 50K and a 50-miler (80.5 km). The first day features the tougher races, reaching elevations of up to 8,000 feet (2,438 m): the 50-miler at 5:30 a.m., the 50K at 8 a.m., the 28K at 9:30 a.m. and the 14K Hill Climb, with 2,700 feet (823 m) of gain, at 10:30 a.m.

The second day brings the more accessible half marathon at 9 a.m. and the 8K at 9:30 a.m., plus a kids' race. The finish at Mt Hood Meadows brings all participants together in a festive atmosphere, with food stands, craft drinks, entertainment and live announcements. The festival's name pays tribute to the Native American name for the mountain.
