Wy’East 28K and 50K Trail Fest

Wy'East Trail Fest runs over August 7 and 8, 2027, at the foot of Mount Hood, Oregon, among snow-capped peaks and waterfalls. Six distances are announced, from 8 km (5 mi) to 80 km (50 mi), with 28 km and 50 km as the main formats. Start times and elevation gain are not listed in our records.

A festival built around two headline distances with a full ladder beneath them is an easy event to enter as a group of mixed abilities, and a good one for a first mountain race: you can commit to 14 km or 21 km and still be part of the same weekend. At Mount Hood's elevation, whatever you choose will take longer than the equivalent at home — budget by time on feet rather than by distance.
