About

The Womens 5K Classic Run/Walk takes place on October 2, 2027, in Allentown. Two simultaneous starts at 10:00 a.m. cover the same 5K (3.1 miles) distance, one for runners and the other for walkers. A virtual option complements the in-person event, opening it up to those who cannot attend.

The event raises funds for people affected by breast cancer and gynecologic cancers, and supports research as well as local support programs. It remains accessible to all fitness levels: over 5K, alternating running and walking is a perfectly valid strategy and is enough to complete the distance without specific training. A 10:00 a.m. start leaves time to digest breakfast and warm up properly.
