About

The We Love Teachers 5K - Chicago takes place on October 9, 2027, in Elk Grove Village, in the Chicago suburbs. The single event is a 5K starting at 8:00 a.m., which participants can run or walk, or complete remotely through the virtual option.

The race is part of a national day dedicated to education: every registrant can dedicate their participation to a teacher, who receives a digital certificate of recognition. On the running side, the 5K is the most accessible distance on the calendar: a month of regular training is enough to run it, and experienced runners can use it as a fast-pace test. Awards are given by category, and the event comes with music and food. Everyone gets a shirt and a finisher medal.
