The Union Mills Wilderness 5k/10k Run takes place in Union Mills, Rutherford County, on February 27, 2027, with a 10K and a 5K, both starting at 10 a.m. The scenic courses run along the Second Broad River, across the CSX railroad tracks and around Rocky Face Mountain in the Box Creek Wilderness area.

Participants can earn points in the ROC series, with a bonus point for the longer course. Registration includes a race shirt, a timing chip, a goodie bag, and refreshments on the course and at the finish. An awards ceremony honors the top finishers.
