About

The UConn Health Half Marathon takes place in Simsbury, Connecticut, in early June, with a scenic two-loop half marathon (13.1 miles) along the Farmington River and local farmland. The half marathon, 10K and 5K all start at 7:15 a.m., and children aged 2 to 11 have a race of their own.

Participants receive a technical shirt and a finisher medal. The event also features multi-race challenges at 5K and 10K distances, encouraging runners to finish courses in different locations and earn extra medals. It is linked to the Connecticut Double Challenge, which includes the Hartford Marathon for those who want to cover a longer distance later in the year. Connecticut mornings in June can be humid, so pace the second loop with care.
