Two Brothers Up-and-Down

The Two Brothers Up-and-Down takes place in Idaho Springs, Colorado, on August 1, 2027, with two distances to choose from: a 10K (6.2 miles) with 1,798 feet (548 m) of elevation gain, or a 5K with 568 feet (173 m). As its name suggests, the course alternates sharply between climbs and descents, through forest and mountain terrain.

This demanding race is aimed at runners used to rugged ground who can handle the altitude and the changes of pace imposed by the profile. Idaho Springs, a former mining town tucked into the Rockies, provides a steep natural setting that gives the race its name.
