Resolute Runner 5k

Resolute Runner 5k is a community 5K based at Johnny Roberts Memorial Park in Arvada, Colorado, run on January 1, 2027 with a 10:00 a.m. start. The course follows the scenic Ralston Creek Trail, and the venue is laid out for spectators as much as for runners, with plenty of places to cheer along the way. The race supports a partnership with Community Table, helping the organization restock after the holiday season.

A creek-side trail makes for steady, even-graded running, so this is a reasonable place to hold a consistent pace rather than fight the terrain. Front Range mornings in January are cold and dry and the altitude is noticeable if you are visiting from sea level, in which case expect the effort to feel harder than the pace suggests and adjust your expectations rather than your stride.
