The Trillium Trek Trail Run & Walk takes place in Gainesville, Georgia, in early March, with a half marathon (13.1 miles) and a 10K (6.2 miles) at 8:00 a.m. and a 5K (3.1 miles) at 8:30 a.m. The courses suit both experienced trail runners and beginners.

The event welcomes people who want a competitive challenge as well as those who simply want a pleasant walk through the woods on scenic trails. Walkers are explicitly part of the event, so the 5K can be a gentle introduction for newer participants. Early March in north Georgia can bring muddy trails after winter rain, so shoes with grip and socks that do not hold water are practical, and the longer races call for a plan for fluids and snacks.
