Chilly Willy 5K/10K/Half Marathon - Atlanta

The Chilly Willy 5K/10K/Half Marathon takes place in Sugar Hill, Georgia, in early January, on the Sugar Hill Greenway in the center of town. All three races start at 8:30 a.m.: the half marathon (13.1 miles), the 10K (6.2 miles) and the 5K (3.1 miles). You can run in person or take part virtually.

Every registrant receives a long-sleeve shirt, and finishers get a medal, which shorter-distance participants can purchase. Timing is by chip, with awards for overall, masters, grand masters, senior masters and age-group winners. The race goes ahead rain or shine. Shirts cannot be mailed, so make sure to attend packet pickup, and virtual participants do not receive shipped items. North Georgia mornings in January are often near freezing, so plan on gloves and a hat for the start.
