About

The Towne Lake Half Marathon, 10K & 5K takes place in McKinney, Texas, in Collin County, in mid-April, with scenic courses and views of Towne Lake. All courses are USATF-certified. The half marathon (13.1 miles) starts at 7:00 AM, and the 10K (6.2 miles) and 5K (3.1 miles) both start at 7:25 AM. Each participant receives a finisher medal and a gender-specific technical shirt while supplies last. Proceeds go to the McKinney Police Association. Certified distances make this a reliable choice for runners who want accurate mile markers and an official result, and the early starts help beat the Texas heat.
