About

The Tom Schreiber Memorial 5K and 1 Mile in Parma honors Tom Schreiber's legacy as a track and cross-country coach. On July 17, 2027, the 1-mile race starts at 8 a.m. and the 5K (3.1 miles) at 8:30 a.m.; both are chip-timed, and runners can register for both.

Proceeds fund a scholarship for a senior athlete in the Parma City School District. The course has checkpoints every mile with live tracking and passes Tom's former home in Parma Heights, Ohio, and ice cream, Tom's favorite treat, awaits at the finish. Organizers aim to include middle school and high school divisions, with team discounts available.
