The Trailway Trail Run

This endurance race takes place in the Birch Creek Unit of Lake Somerville State Park, on a trail rich with nature and wildlife, near Somerville, Texas. The park's terrain is hilly and wooded near the lake, with the start and finish set on an open lawn. A bridge is planned to connect the Birch Creek and Nails Creek Units. Runners can enjoy pre-race festivities, including a campfire and refreshments. Registration includes the park entrance fee, with an extra charge for longer stays. Camping is available on-site but limited, and sites must be reserved in advance. Distances range from a 1-mile fun run up to a 50K (31 miles), with 5K, 10K, half marathon (13.1 miles), and marathon (26.2 miles) options in between.
