About

The Hog Crazy Trail Run takes place at Millican Reserve in College Station, Texas, in early May. Runners can choose a half marathon (13.1 miles), a 10K or a 5K, and a short kids' run rounds out the program, with the half marathon starting at 7:30 a.m. The courses follow single-track mountain bike trails and are described as suitable for all levels.

The event supports the Lone Star Running Project, and finishers are offered food, drinks and giveaways. Awards go to the top three overall and to each age-group winner, with separate junior categories. Because of the potential heat, the organizers use a cup-free policy and provide gels and ice. It is a family event that goes ahead in any weather, so dress for conditions and bring a bottle or hydration vest.
