The Next Loop Endurance Series - Busse Woods is a loop-format trail endurance event in Elk Grove Village on August 15, 2027, with 50K, marathon, half marathon, 10K and 5K categories. The marathon is scheduled to start at 7 a.m.

Suited to runners of all levels, from beginners to seasoned athletes, the format sends participants around a 3.1-mile (5 km) trail loop, with a new loop starting every hour. After each loop, runners decide whether to keep going or stop, and only completed loops count toward their overall score. The scoring rewards consistency and pacing, and lets athletes analyze their performance across several loops.
