The Growing Minds Foundation 5K takes place in Pocahontas on October 2, 2027, with an 8:00 a.m. start. Billed as the Growing Minds Foundation Fall Festival 5K, it is organized by a nonprofit that provides medical scholarships to children with special needs in Arkansas.
The 5K (3.1 miles) course starts and finishes at Black River Overlook Park. All participants receive medals, with additional awards for the overall and age-group winners. After the race, runners can enjoy drinks and snacks or visit the accompanying Fall Festival.
