The Big Run 5K -Kernersville, NC is organized by Fleet Feet as part of the national Global Running Day celebration and takes place on June 5, 2027, with the 5K (3.1-mile) at 8 a.m. and a 1-mile fun run at 9:30 a.m. The race is run in three heats on a cross-country course and welcomes runners of all abilities.

Elite runners can compete for prize money, with special registration options available to them. The event is supported by Brooks Sports, and part of the proceeds goes to the Good Works Engine charity, which provides shoes to underserved communities. The race invites participation from across the Triad region.
